I heard that the cab driver who ran over and killed that pigeon was not prosecuted. I knew it.
But I would like to say this much: I would like to say that humans are at fault, too, for making the roads used by humans swarm with pigeons. Why do pigeons flock?
Mostly, it is due to that act of throwing away leftover food or feeding them.
Littering leftover or finished food, much less feeding it, will attract pigeons.
We can't rule out the possibility that the pigeons were in the driveway this time and did that, can we?
I'm not saying that's the whole story, of course.
I think it is, but what do you think?
A cab driver who was arrested for allegedly running over and killing pigeons ended up being dropped from the case. Of course. It's not like the Decree for Pity for All Living Things in the days of Tsunayoshi Tokugawa, so why should he be put on criminal trial for such a trivial matter? Arresting someone just because you received a report from a complainer is unjust in itself.
