Businessman Yuta Misaki, a.k.a. "Prince Aojiru," updated his X (formerly Twitter) page by the 9th. He wrote about his personal opinion on the matter of Downtown's Hitoshi Matsumoto (60) announcing that he would be suspending his entertainment activities.

On the night of August 8, Mr. Misaki wrote, "Bringing up something that happened almost ten years ago now and shaming people is nothing but malicious intent. It really shows what I don't like about this country. It's really a disgusting world we live in. The post was apparently in response to Matsumoto's announcement that he would be taking a break from his activities.

On December 27 last year, Shukan Bunshun (Weekly Bunshun) reported that Matsumoto had allegedly forced a general public woman to perform sexual acts on him in 2003, but on the same day, his company Yoshimoto Kogyo completely denied the report and said it would consider legal action. On the 8th of this month, Yoshimoto announced Matsumoto's suspension. Matsumoto offered to "first confront the various articles and focus on the trial," and stated that he "has expressed a strong desire to suspend his activities for the time being.
